There is a famous 4WD off road track in the UK called the Rainbow Beach 4WD. It’s located near Coleshill and is open to access from the Arundel bypass, allowing you to reach this stunningly beautiful corner of the UK without too much of a problem. What is Rainbow Beach 4WD?

There is a famous 4WD off road track in the UK called the Rainbow Beach. It’s located near Coleshill and is open to access from the Arundel bypass, allowing you to reach this stunningly beautiful corner of the UK without too much of a problem. The track is open from May to October and closed in the winter months of March to April. It’s a little harder to get a permit than many other tracks due to the requirement that the track is signed off.

There are two ways to access the track from the Arundel bypass; you can use the tracks on either side of the Arundel itself or you can drive along part of the beach onto the other side of the track. You must drive directly onto the beach – you cannot access it at the side. This is called reaching the end of the rainbow – so it’s always best to reach the track from the closest point to the centre of the track. This means that if you’re approaching Rainbow Beach from the opposite direction as the majority of the track is positioned then you’ll be able to reach it from the right direction (towards the corner of the beach). However, if you’re approaching it from the same direction as the track then you need to drive onto the beach directly. Either way, the track distance is longer and you’ll be passing through more landscape than you would expect.

It’s not just the track distance that makes Rainbow Beach 4WD tracks different, but also the terrain. As it sits right by the sea, it’s surrounded by tidal wave height – and as such, the waves can reach quite high. Driving over these waves can sometimes feel like your eyes are open and then dropping again, and this adds an extra challenge to the Teewah RC trucks and cars used to access the track.
